Apex Academy in Gardendale is beyond amazing. It isn’t like your traditional gym, its a strong and growing community, and a home away from home for a lot of us. Coach Murry is the best teacher I could have asked for, and outside of me officially losing 40 pounds in less than a year, the biggest reason I keep coming back.

Training Jiu-Jitsu has been a life-changing experience for me. It has had a positive impact on my health and mental well being. I find myself using its technical beauty in my everyday activities. I'm not sure if this would have been achievable in any other gym. Murry is not only one of the best teachers I've known but also one of the most genuine. He puts his heart and soul into each and every member there. This, in turn, is instilled into each and every member there. We are truly like family. I highly encourage anyone that is visiting Gardendale to stop by and have a session with us. Striving to better the lives of us and everyone around us!

Murry is awesome! We moved from Florida and had high expectations! Apex Academy, their helpers, and Coach Murry matched our high expectations and we love the follow through. We are so excited continue to let my son learn the art and expand his knowledge with Coach Murry!

I've been with apex for a few years now and it's amazing the coaches are great and super friendly and helpful when trying to make you a better version of yourself I would definitely recommend apex academy for everyone
