Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Hoover

Tiger Rock Hoover is absolutely awesome! The instructors truly care about each student and it shows in every class. My whole family is involved, and it’s been amazing to see other entire families training together too. The community here is so welcoming and supportive — it’s a great environment for all ages. We’re so glad to be part of it!

The Hoover location of Tiger Rock is fantastic! The instructors are great and the staff is very nice, too. In order to progress to the next belt level, the students have to meet certain criteria in order to be able to pass. The instructors do not hesitate to let a student and their parents/guardians (if applicable) know if a private lesson might be useful in order for the student to improve on their form or other skills so that they are able to perform on the level they're expected. My 3 year old likes to pretend he's doing Tae Kwon Do moves like his big brother and I look forward to enrolling him as a Tiger Cub next year!

We had a great experience in our years at Tiger Rock. No one in our family had experience with martial arts before we began at Tiger Rock with our son, so we did not know what to expect. What we found were skilled instructors who teach with patience and kindness, a program that focuses not only on martial arts skills but also on students’ character, and gross motor development that helped our child as much, if not more, than occupational therapy. Our family gained so much from our years there, and I highly recommend this academy.

My kid was with them for about 6 months. Almost do not have any progress at all since he started. There are a lot of issues with that place and at the end I decided to leave: 1) They are not professional in training and dealing with kids. They used to focus with older kids and do not pay attention for younger ones. 2) They take too many days off. Within these six months period we have almost one week off every other month, and some times every month. 3) In the beginning couches used to focus with my son, and then after a while they start not bay attention to him. Some times I see him doing the positions wrong and they do not correct him. They only pay attention for the other kids whom stayed with them for a longer time. I need to practice with my kid at home every day to help him cope up with other kids. 4) Payment policy is very strict. If you enrolled you will need to stay with them at least 3 months. You have to sign a 60 days leaving notice. 5) Classes time is not good. they are either just after work (5:30) or before it (4:30), if you live any where but hoover you will never make it on time. And if so they will not let you enter the class.
