Best gym in Anchorage. if you're looking for a great gym community, good coaches, and the best equipment Anchor of Iron is the place to be. You won't be pushed into buying a training program and even if you aren't paying for training they are always willing to talk with you on different exercises or problems you are having. After a year of just getting gym access, I started training with Candace and it was a great decision. She's helped rehab my shoulder injury and had been working to help me condition for rugby. Couldn't recommend this gym more.

Catering to everyone from your average 9-5 desk jockey just trying to get better (like myself), all the way to a competitive strongman in competition prep you can find something for you here. More impressively is the community that is cultured here. The owners do a fantastic job of meeting you right where you are from a quiet nod of encouragement after a lift or some light conversation between sets and helpful tips. As well as the other members are all polite and respectful towards each other and the space. Fostering a fantastic community with excellent equipment for all experience levels, Anchor of Iron is just what I look for.

Amazing place to workout. Candace and Clint are great trainers - focusing not just on gains but taking into account your body's abilities and sometimes its limitations. Focus is on progress not perfection... whether working one on one with them or working out using a personalized program, you will find the gym is a safe welcoming environment. ALL body types are welcome - this isn't just a gym for the fit and fabulous - everyone is encouraged and supported on their wellness journey!
