Okamoto's Karate

I am so happy to have found Oakamotos Karate. My son has been interested in martial arts for a while. I was nervous to sign him up as he has ADHD. Until one day he asked if there was somewhere he could do karate lessons. We brought him in for a try out and he was hooked after that. I’ve noticed a positive change in him already. Senpai Fred is amazing and encouraging. My son is so excited to come to practice. Thank you Oakamotos!

Our shy son (5 yrs) is enjoying his coaching and experience at Okamoto’s very much. He feels comfortable in the dojo and enjoys the instructor’s interactions. Fred is a very kind and caring person who remembers the children’s names and takes time to recognize their efforts. I’m very pleased to have my son in such a great environment that helps him grow as an individual. Well worth the money!

Our son had been attending Okamoto's school of Karate for almost six months. We all love it! His Senpai Fred Manzano has been wonderful. He is very attentive and has been a wonderful instructor and influence on our son. We would highly recommend Okamoto's!

Our family has had a wonderfully positive experience at Okamoto's Wasilla over the last 1.5 years. It's been tremendously rewarding to watch our daughter progress through their classes. Each day is a lesson in respect, patience, listening, and improving skills. She is gaining experience in preparing for exams and learning that hard work pays off. I have highly recommend Okamoto's School of Karate to all of our friends and family.

We love Okamoto's Karate! My son wanted to give karate a try so initially, I had signed him up for a set of demo lessons. After four lessons, he was hooked. He has been part of the Wasilla dojo for a year now. He has been able to advance through his belt tests to achieve higher belt ranking very quickly. Senpai Fred is extremely competent, organized and the kids all love him. He has a great sense of humor and takes the time to learn about each child as an individual. There are many opportunities for students here, whether it is participation in special performances, local parades and recognition for doing well, or having additional support with keeping them on track in school and at home. Black Belt Club gives them the opportunity to learn weapons training and extra skills. Communication is great and my son loves receiving instruction from his peers in higher belt ranking as well as from some of the school's competition team like RickyJon.
