Everyone at The Sword is very welcoming. The owner and head Coach, Chris, is the best in the state hands down. Many higher belts have been here for years. I'm very happy to have found my BJJ family here and my education here so far has been thorough and amazing. All the coaches here really care about their students on and off the mats. I highly recommend this old school, top notch, hidden gem of a BJJ gym👊

Great experience training while vacationing in Alaska. Meet Coach Chris the owner and head instructor. He provides detailed analysis to level up your game and focus on the art while enjoying challenging yourself. Coach Matheus provides a lazer focus on specific training to enhance ability to utilize concepts and principles to carry through the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Journey. My family and I are grateful to Coach Chris for allowing our daughter to play and make noise while class was in session while simultaneously our service dog occupied space at the front entrance. The students were welcoming and took us in the tribe right away. We shall return and if you're a local or passing through stop in today. Oooss.
