Professor Eddie is the best!!! He is the most down to earth professor I have come across. I have been to numerous gyms in different states and he is the real deal. It can be a fast paced environment, but rest assured there is no room for any BS. He gets straight to the point and is very attentive. They have the best variety of classes and schedule is very fitting. Jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, mma and even Judo! The prices are the best ever for having so many different arts they teach. I had to stop due to medical issues, but look forward to coming back someday. A free week trial never hurts anybody, give Abunai a try if you are on the fence. 🤙 🤙 🤙

I came into this gym lost filled with depression and no direction In life I felt like I had no purpose in this life so what’s the point of living in it that’s until I decided to turn my life to MMA this place changed my perspective it gave me discipline focus joy and most importantly something worth fighting for it turned my pain into progress and I know it’s gods plan that the progress will turn into prosperity this gym didn’t just change my body it changed my life here you have coaches not only willing to help you learn but help you grow they don’t just teach the physical part of Martial arts but the principals of a martial artist and I can’t wait to continue to grow with them and if you’re serious about changing your life or if your story is similar to mine give abunai a try so we can grow together

When I moved to Phoenix in 2023, I set out to find the right MMA gym—one that truly felt like home. Having trained for decades at top-tier gyms like American Top Team and Strongstyle, I knew exactly what I was looking for. Abunai isn’t just another gym; it’s a family. From day one, Coach Eddie and the entire staff made it clear that here, you’re not just a number—you’re part of something bigger. Eddie isn’t like some coaches who barely notice whether you show up or not. He genuinely cares about your progress, your goals, and your growth as a fighter and as a person. He pushes you not because he has to, but because he knows you want more for yourself. And that kind of support is rare. I’ve been in this game a long time, seen all kinds of gyms and programs, and I can confidently say I wouldn’t train anywhere else. If you’re serious about your goals and want to be surrounded by a team that will push you, support you, and bring out the best in you—Abunai is the place. But like anything in life, you have to show up.

Avoid. The owner, or at least someone that works there lost their cool because of a parking spot. They got out of their truck and smacked their hand on the no parking sign several times like a petulant child. This on Saturday when they are not open. Who would want to learn MMA from from someone that impatient? Just asking. Be careful with that kind of temper. After all character is what you do when no one is looking .

I went there a while ago and wow this place is a straight-up mcdojo. All the coaches have no clue where they're teaching. I've been training MMA for years and been to different gyms but this one is by far the worst
