This is by far one of the best Jiu-jitsu gyms in the West Valley. Their kids program is structured, educational, competitive, diverse, and fun. You can definitely tell that the instructors care and try to spread their time evenly amongst all of the students. I would highly recommend coming in for a look if you are remotely interested. I believe they have a complimentary class!

I have three kids who love jiu-jitsu and want to be world champions. When the level and frequency of training needed to achieve that goal was not available in our hometown of Rapid City, SD, we moved 1,250 miles across the country solely to train at De Boa; we bought a house right across the street from the academy. We have never regretted it for one moment. It was the best decision we've ever made. That should tell you everything you need to know about Andrew and Leslie. The way they run the kids' program is unlike any other I know, and it *will* be copied and propagated to kids' programs all over the world in the coming years. Watch and see.

First time ever on the mat and I had a blast. The gym's leadership and members were very welcoming to me who is a complete newbie in the sport. I am excited to start training here more often. Leslie (owner) explained moves very well, and the entire facility creates a sense of belonging in the pursuit of getting better.

Came into town to visit family and this is my second trip to this gym. This is the JiuJitsu place to go to if you're in the greater Surprise/Phoenix area. Great instructors, Andrew is very well rounded and the students here all have a passion for the sport and art. 🤜🏽🤛🏽

I’m finally posting this because the more I talk to the BJJ community, the more I realize how reckless this gym is. On my very first day, they had me live rolling. Every experienced practitioner I’ve spoken to since is shocked—most gyms don’t let you roll for at least two weeks for safety reasons. To make it worse, they charged me $300 a month, and when I stopped coming because of their dangerous practices, they never even reached out to check on me. They just kept collecting my money for 3 months. It’s clear they care more about the membership fees than the actual safety or progress of their students. Absolute BS.
