My family love coming here! Everyone is so welcoming. The owners and coaches are amazing. Since my children have starting coming here I can see the difference in their confidence and coronation. Everyone is treated like family! There is no other gym like this one. If you never workout before the coaches are so patient and will help you. My friend Melissa trains here and invited me to an open mat on a Sunday. I had the best time and Ruben the owner was very welcoming. I met such nice people and had some great rounds. Thank you for being so nice to an outsider since I know it can be a little scary visiting another academy you don't know. I was in Surprise for a few months for work and was looking for a place to train while in town. I dropped in at Proving Ground and was immediately greeted by good people, good vibes, and high level jiu jitsu. Ruben and his coaches are great folks, and the training environment they've created is second to none. Whether you're a veteran of combat sports or a day-one beginner, you'll be welcomed and treated like family here. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

proving Ground has been an amazing experience for myself and my children. This journey is not only physical but mental as well. Vargas Gym has opened up another world for our family to experience.
