Refuge BJJ

Went to Phoenix for work and did a drop in. Everyone was super nice and had a lot of fun rolls. Great place and atmosphere. Hopefully I'll be back again if work allows it.

There is not much to say other than everyone in the valley that rolls knows the Refuge Youth Competition Team. All 5 of my kids have trained here at some point. Definitely worth the 25 minute drive from desert ridge area.

I dropped in here today for the 10:30 no gi class. I had a great time and definitely recommend Refuge BJJ for anyone interested. The instruction was clear and easy to follow, the structure of class was great, and the training partners were respectful and tough — exactly what you want

The coaches and staff at Refuge truly go above and beyond. From day one, they make both kids and adults feel comfortable and supported when taking that first step onto the mat. We dropped in at Refuge on a visit from out of state. SO GLAD WE FOUND YOU!!!! It was a home away from home for us. The place was clean, the class was ran on time and was organized. We saw how disciplined the students were and that the coaches expected the same dedication from them too. The coaches were focused and provided clear instruction. Although there were a lot of students, the student to coach ratio appeared to work because of how closely the coaches observed, guided and instructed. Big space, great lighting. Even though we dropped in, it didnt feel that our child was ignored. We felt like family and would 1000% recommend and come back any time we are in. Professor Josh and Coach Dan were so welcoming. Another plus is that kids rolled with different partners without repeat, thus complacency had no space in their practice. Thank you so much!
