I first signed up my children hoping to help them gain confidence and improve their physical health - but what we've gained as a family has been so much more. We absolutely love Sensei Toohey's energy and drive to help students push through the hard moments and discover their strength. I didn't expect to enjoy the classes so much myself but the competitions and physical training have created such a fun and motivating synergy between me and my kids. My daughter loves her Dojo. She looks forward to class every week. The Sensi makes the kids work hard but also have fun. He goes beyond what we could have imagined. We look forward to many years with Rising Phoenix Karate.
