My son and I both do jujitsu here. The environment is very welcoming and friendly! All levels are welcome. Mike is very good with the kids: my son has learned a lot and made a lot of friends, as well as discipline and training. I enjoy the adult BJJ class and have learned a lot in a fun training atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Signed our 6-year-old up at Strong Heart Academy on a friend’s recommendation, and we were impressed from day one. Mike (the owner) and the coaches were warm, patient, and answered all our questions. In his very first class, our son was learning real BJJ fundamentals and even got to apply them in friendly competition. The coaches struck a great balance of playful, supportive, and disciplined. He walked out with a big smile—we’re glad we found this place.

We've been at Strong Heart Academy for nine months with my daughter, and she's grown so much. As a young girl, in her confidence, her toughness, and work ethic, Mike and the whole team do an incredible job at Strong Heart Academy. That goes way beyond jiu-jitsu and just makes them better people, and they have fun while doing it. Highly, highly recommend to anybody wanting to get their kids in a great sport that goes way beyond athletics.

I’ve only been in a mixed martial arts studio, once since my wife passed away. Unlike the previous studio in Maricopa, I found this to be a welcoming facility. The professor Mike, as well as several people greeted me, even though I was standing on the outside and observing. The facility was clean. There were several instructors working in groups of four, unlike other studios I’ve seen in Maricopa where there are way too many students for the instructor. It was emotional walking in to a place. I swore I would never walk in again., But I shouldn’t let a couple of bad studios in Maricopa determine the rest of my life. I wish I wasn’t an hour away from home or I would definitely join this place just based upon my interactions.. I’m a pretty good judge of character in this place was full of character. I recommend anybody in the area to come try it out. It was great therapy for me just to watch.

I have been "collecting" studios as I travel. My experience at String Heart was beyond fantastic, from the quick response when I inquired if I could drop in for a class, to how welcoming the participants were, to put a huge nice cherry on top, Kalif was a great instructor. He gave me some fantastic tips on finishing a guillotine and doing a proper Darce! If you are local, definitely enroll here! highly recommended. If you are traveling, it's worth checking them out!
