If you are in Scottsdale - Valley Aikido is a must stop and train destination. Sensei Asim is the best and all the members of Valley Aikido are welcoming and dedicated to hard training. Sensei Asim's commitment to excellence is infectious as is the spirit of fun all members have as they train and work on their Aikido. Highly recommend - wish I could get out to train with everyone more often. Last note - Sensei Asim restarted my training 8 years ago after life got in the way - collage/career, etc. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to start/learn Aikido as he is very patient, kind, and supportive of anyone seriously interested in learning Aikido. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a visit!

I visit this dojo whenever I am in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for business. I've also been fortunate enough to attend their Winter seminars - which I really enjoy since I hate the East coast winters. The training atmosphere here is 2nd to none. Everyone works hard and everyone is helpful to each other. No egos, no bad attitudes, just people putting in the work to make themselves better.

Great training and awesome skills, very fluid and very technical aikido, love the weapons training part of it , the application to the aikido techniques are endless.
