Global Traditional Martial Arts
About
Global Traditional Martial Arts offers MMA and kickboxing training through a traditional martial arts framework. The gym features a team of experienced founding masters and instructors with titles like Chief Master, Grand Master, and Master, many holding black belts in disciplines such as Tang Soo Do and Taekwondo. Members experience a curriculum designed for practical learning rather than rote memorization, with programs tailored for both children and adults across all age groups.
reviewsWhat Members Say
Members consistently praise the gym's knowledgeable instructors and practical curriculum that focuses on learning rather than memorization. Many describe a welcoming family atmosphere built on traditional values like respect and compassion, where all age groups feel included and valued. Specific compliments highlight top class instruction and decisions that prioritize member benefit. However, some express significant concerns about additional costs beyond monthly fees, including belt graduation charges, separate equipment purchases, and administrative fees, with one reviewer calling it 'money hungry' and noting that many parents have pulled their children out.

I have been around martial arts more than half my life. GTMA has designed this program so that the students can learn and not just have to memorize material. Practical programs for children and adults.

This is by far the best organization to be apart of. Everything they do, every decision they make is to the benefit of the members first and always. To me it feels they have gone more than out of their way to make even my white belts feel important and part of something bigger. If that's not what you are looking for in a community, I don't know what is. And I haven't even mentioned the top class instruction or amazing curriculum.

Money hungry. All they do is take your money. You pay a monthly fee, you have to pay to graduate to the next belt level even though your paying monthly fees. You are then invited to a leadership class where you pay for each piece of equipment separately. All the equipment you need adds up to almost $400. On top of that, they have added administrative fees. It’s a money scam and most parents have pulled their kids out. Now they are targeting the poor and underprivileged kids in the community. After each class, they try to up sale you uniforms even though you paid for uniforms, they want you to order more uniforms. This summer they offered was a 1 week summer camp for a few hundred dollars...for that you would think food or maybe snacks are offered, no. Kids had to bring food from home. If you enjoy wasting money come here, this is the place for you.
