This dojo is amazingly positive and filled with great vibes. Everyone there feels like family, and is very supportive and kind. It has a great deal to offer to the serious martial artist and hobbyist alike. The head teacher has established this dojo as a safe and tolerant place. Not only are all people welcome but all ideas, styles, and arts as well. This school is truly a gem!

Our daughter started at Arnott Karate two years ago. In that time we’ve watched Master Arnott and his team help train her to be both confident and capable, physically and mentally. Warm and kind yet with high expectations, I can’t say enough good things about this important institution in Eagle Rock.

I can’t say enough good things about this dojo! For years, I’ve thought about taking up karate, and now I’m finally diving in, even though I’m a bit older than most new students. I’m not particularly athletic, so I wanted something fun which would let me learn gradually while simultaneously getting in some exercise. Arnott Kenpo has been a perfect fit! Even though I'm just starting out, I can genuinely see myself continuing with Kenpo for a long time. This dojo is far from intimidating; Mark and his team make every class engaging and easy to follow. If you’re looking for a place that emphasizes personal growth over competition, this is it. I wholeheartedly recommend Arnott Kenpo to anyone—kids and adults alike—who wants to explore a fantastic martial art, build self-esteem, and get a fantastic workout!

I actually like everything about Arnott Kenpo Karate. I started at the old location on Fair Oaks Ave in late 2014. I thought that karate studio was just about perfect. The new location in Eagle Rock is even bigger and better! The instruction I receive there from Mr. Mark Arnott and his assistants is spot on. Every class we learn new techniques and insights into the vast disciple of karate. The experience is exciting and inspires one to want to learn more and advance in the ranks. Mr. Arnott is constantly bringing in highly experienced Black Belt veterans who provide their unique perspective on martial arts and keep the learning experience fresh and exciting. Being a member of Arnott Kenpo Karate has enriched my life tremendously in that I am in much better shape than before. My confidence and energy level is way up and I am having more fun here than any sport or hobby I was involved in previously. I recommend Arnott's studio to anyone who wishes to take on the challenging activity that is Karate in a safe and respectful environment. I plan to be a member for many years to come.
