World-Class Instruction, Personal Attention We've been a part of Brazilian Top Team-Long Beach for 5 years now with our kids and I'm have been training for almost 3. What makes this place stand out isn't the level of talent (which is insanely high), but the culture. There are renowned athletes leading the room, but no one makes you feel small. Whether you're brand new, a hobbyist, or a serious competitor, they take the time to coach you. They learn your name, your learning style and give you feedback that fits YOU. As a parent, that matters even more. My kids aren just enrollment numbers, their coaches truly KNOW them- their strengths, their challenges, when to push them, and when ti support them. Over our five years, I've watched them grow not just in skill but in confidence and character. As a student myself, I appreciate that instruction is detailed and thoughtful. About 20 years with BTT Long Beach and I still love this place. I learned just about everything I know about Jiu Jitsu from Marcelo Perdomo. 3 years ago Alex Vieira was brought in to run the team, and it's been awesome to learn "modern" techniques from him. This place is not just a "gym" but a "team".... a "family". I moved away from Long Beach, and drive a significant distance to keep training (and coaching) at BTT Long Beach. There are schools close to where I now live, but I know it's never going to be the same as being a part of this legendary team. For those who are on the fence about training, come by, give it a whirl, you have nothing to loose and a new "family" to gain.

I've been going to BTT for over a decade and the coaching/training here has aged like fine wine. If you're anywhere remotely close to LB, come check us out. Our coach Alex Vieira is one of the most accomplished Jiu Jitsu competitors of the last decade. We have more trophies than MJ, Kobe & LeBron combined (IBJJF) and we aren't just a gym, we're family. No where else are you going to get over a 150+ training partners of all shapes and sizes and experience. Highly recommend.

After attending BJJ lessons for over a year, I’m confident to say this is one of the best studios in the area. The teachers take the time to walkthrough techniques, they challenge you to grow, and there’s a solid community of students coming together on a weekly basis. Free trials are a massive plus, so come and check us out if you’re interested.

Great coaches and a very nice facility! The instructors are patient, supportive, and really know how to work with kids. The space is clean, organized, and welcoming. My kids enjoy coming to class and have learned so much. Highly recommend!
