From the first moment I entered the dojo, I was treated well by the Sensei and his students. The atmosphere was very positive and their training encompasses everything the art brings to mind. I look forward to my growth and accomplishments in the Bujinkan art.

I’ve been training at this Dojo for close to 3 years. This Dojo fits all my needs, I get a good cardio workout, while working on my stretching, and flexibility, and help fight off my back issues and overall aging atrophy. If your interested in Martial Arts and real world practical but effective Self Defense, I highly recommend this Dojo, you might just make some life long friends! Can’t wait to see you there.

Started going to this dojo in November of 2023. This is a great space for people who want to learn martial arts. Mark Franco knows a lot about the Chinese and Japanese martial arts. The students at this dojo are very kind and the dojo is extremely accepting of new students. Try it out if you're in the area!

I’ve been training with Mark at the West LA dojo for many years now, and the things I love most about his style of training are his friendly attitude and his attention to small details in movement that can make a massive difference. Originally I signed up because I loved samurai movies and wanted to learn how to use a sword, but later on I became more interested in other weapons like the 6 foot bo staff, and also the taijutsu (unarmed techniques). I like that Mark isn’t the kind of teacher who is obsessed with competitions or trophies, and that the focus is on learning the skills of this traditional martial art. I also love the community, there’s something special about everyone training really hard for a few hours and then getting late night tacos together afterwards while cracking jokes. The training can be intense at the higher levels, but its not competitive like some MMA gyms. If you ever wanted to be a ninja or samurai, you’ll love it.

I've had the privilege of knowing the head instructor, Mark for more than 20 years. I can easily say he is among the most knowledgable, friendly and skilled martial artists I've met. The community a the West Los Angeles Dojo is welcoming yet serious in their approach learning. Los Angeles is lucky to have resources like this Dojo available, and anyone interested in the study of traditional Japanese Martial Arts, Bujinkan or Ninjutsu related arts, should not hesitate to visit the West Los Angeles Dojo for incredible training. If you are looking for a children's martial arts program in Santa Monica or Culver City, be sure to consider this Dojo. As a parent myself of 4 kids, I can assure you that Mark's approach to helping children learn, meanwhile having fun and being safe, is guaranteed. Adam Mitchell, NY
