So I have been working on my health and joined this gym in Aug 0f 2023. It's been amazing! The workout is a full body WORKOUT, you can lessen the intensity or increase it. The staff will help you modify, make it low impact or high impact. When I started I was burning 350 maybe 400 calories. Now I'm doing about 550. The environment, well it is like family. No shaming no egos, no feeling as if what your doing is not enough (unless you arent then you get a gentle nudge). Each instructor has their own style, but all give a great work out. Mentally there is no better place to leave your stress (ha coming from a Psychotherapist) there is generally a therapist working out in the class. Coming from a somatic approach being able to get physical, yell at the bag and work on your breath it's not only a physical work out but mental and somatic work out. I periodically do a group class there for clients. I've gotten so much stronger and I am so much happier with my health, all my important numbers are down. Thanks Asha and the CKO team/family!

Every participant was motivated to give their best, supported by both the crowd and the trainers. Encourage everyone to experience this class for themselves. All the instructors are fantastic and contribute to a genuinely top-notch fitness experience.

Excellent, intense (at your own pace) kickboxing heavy bag workout. The trainers are incredibly motivational, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere with tons of encouragement from fellow members. At 55, working out here has helped me lose over 30 pounds and get into the best shape I’ve been in for a long time. I highly recommend checking this place out!

What is important to me is the people you surround yourself and dedicate your time to. I joined a few years ago, went in on 12/31 (starting out new year!) and knew instantly I found my spot. Asha was so engaging, friendly and informative. Her team of trainers and desk staff are simply the best in class! All shapes and athletic abilities are welcome in this gym. The classes are so fun and very challenging. The trainers will help modify your needs so if you are looking to burn more calories they will help you with that or if you need to modify a move they are there for you every step of the way. I spend a lot of time here and have gained new friends as well as became closer to my friends that joined the gym with me. This is my happy place!

Edit #2: Still waiting for a response from the owner (it's been a week since I addressed the owner and no response yet). Edit #1: Response to the owner’s answer to my earlier review (which you can see under this new update): - Asha, What's the best email to contact you directly? I hope what you're saying is true. Because when I contacted CKO SouthBay about this issue, the person I was talking to opted to stop responding and providing any solutions, despite the fact that I had submitted multiple pieces of documentation. I would need a reimbursement for the months I was unable to use your facilities since I was out of the country due to an injury and had to remain there for treatment. Once I informed CKO SouthBay of my accident, CKO SouthBay continued to charge me for months. When I was in better health, I emailed CKO SouthBay again with medical proof and the dates of the accident, and instead of refunding me for the months I couldn't use the facilities due to the accident, CKO SouthBay simply cancelled my membership and never issued a single refund for the months of payments CKO SouthBay continued to charge me despite the fact that I informed the company that I had been in an accident and provided documentation with the dates. I sincerely hope that as the owner, you can assist and resolve this issue, Asha. Because it is unacceptable to treat consumers in this manner, and I am sure you would never want to be mistreated yourself. Earlier review: Worst company ever. Scammers. They tricked me into getting in a 12 month contract with them without telling me all the ins and outs of it. I had to move and their contract said that in case of moving they would had to cancel the contract and also that they would stop charging. Did they stop charging? No. I am going to sue this scammers. Never believe a thing they say
