About

Fight Academy of Pasadena offers mixed martial arts training with a focus on creating a supportive community for all skill levels. The gym provides instruction in disciplines like jiu jitsu, no gi Bjj, and women's boxing classes, with coaches who are noted for their attentiveness to fundamentals and individual progress. Members consistently praise the welcoming atmosphere, where both staff and fellow practitioners make newcomers feel at home from their first visit.

Reviews highlight exceptional coaching led by Savant and his team, who are described as selfless with their time and dedicated to student development regardless of experience level. Many members report significant improvements in their fitness and combat sports skills after training here, with some calling it their "home gym" due to the strong sense of community. While most experiences are positive, one review mentions concerns about gender dynamics in kickboxing classes, though this appears to be an isolated report among overwhelmingly favorable feedback.

The facility attracts both long term martial artists and those looking to add combat sports to their exercise routine, with particular emphasis on creating a safe, supportive environment. Coaches are noted for taking time to know students personally, whether they attend their specific classes or not, contributing to the gym's reputation for exceptional member treatment compared to other fitness establishments.

I cannot stress how much I loved my time at Fight Academy Pasadena. I had been training for 5 years at different gyms (jiu jitsu) before finding Fight Academy and I stayed there for the last 2 years I was based in LA. EASILY the best training, community, vibes, and biggest improvement in my fitness and combat sports training was here. Savant leads an amazing team of coaches!

I’ve been in the martial arts community for around 7 years now and have been at FA for 2 years and can tell you I decided to make FA my home gym because of the coaches! They are so selfless with their time and have created such a safe and supportive community. I felt very welcomed since day 1. They really care about their students and are attentive no matter what level you’re at.

I’ve been coming to FA for 8 months and I honestly love this place. Savant made me feel right home the first day I started taking the women boxing class. He takes his time with all the students and makes sure we understand the fundamentals. No matter if you’re new or advanced he always makes sure everyone is learning. You honestly need to try this class if you’re just trying to add it to your excercise routine or to learn self defense. All the coaches here are really nice and makes classes fun. One thing I love about the coaches is that no matter if you take their class or not they all try to get to know you. FA is a gym I can really call home and trust me I’ve been to soulcycle and Barry’s and I still didn’t get the same treatment like I do at FA.

If you are a woman - don’t join kickboxing class here. Most of “men” there are inexperienced teenagers with ego who will give you attitude and refuse to practice exercises with you in passing aggressive way , while coach sees that ( name starts with M) and do nothing about it and if you try to address discrimination - he will come back to you with gaslighting. Very disappointing experience. It’s a shame things like that still happen in the US and all the talks about equality and rights are just talks.
