About

Highland Park Fight Club offers comprehensive training in MMA, Muay Thai, and wrestling, with a particularly strong focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The gym is led by head instructor Jason Eisner, an IBJJF registered 2nd Degree Black Belt under Demian Maia, who is described by members as a "secret treasure" in the area with decades of teaching experience for major LA names. He is supported by a deep roster of credentialed instructors, including multiple black belts under his lineage like Kelby Wood, Claudia 'Claw' Henriquez, and Andy Im, as well as other high-level coaches such as Joanna Luo, a black belt under Leticia Ribeiro. The facility maintains a clean, well-maintained environment conducive to serious training.

One of my FAVORITE Jiu Jitsu spots in California! Jason Eisner the head trainer is one of the secret treasures in the area. He has taught for all the biggest names in LA and finally opened his own spot. He has a very loyal following that came with him and they all were fantastic to train with. I took the no-gi night classes and Jason taught some incredible details I have never seen and I've been training almost 20 years. They have a perfect balance of just enough repetitions and live rolling that you will leave there with your BJJ cup full and make some friends before you leave. I cannot wait to come back to town and train. Thank you everyone who trained with me and connected on socials after. This was a 10 Star experience! -Nick Lamagna

I am incredibly impressed with HLPFC! My 5-year-old son attends classes here, and he absolutely loves it. The instructors are fantastic with the kids, making each class both fun and educational. They have created a positive and encouraging environment that has helped my son build confidence while learning valuable skills. My son may be one of the smallest in his class, but he has grown more confident since starting, thanks to the amazing coaches. I see improvements every day. The coaches have also fostered a supportive community among the families and students, and it’s common to hear other families and children cheering for each other. The facility is clean and well-maintained. I am so grateful to have found this gym for him. Of all the monthly memberships I have for my son, this one is the best. With three kid classes a week, this is also one of the most affordable activities. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place for their kids to learn martial arts! A big thanks to Coach Claw, Kelby, Will, and Karen.

My daughter adores the friendship club! The teachers are wonderfully kind and always there to help. Her classmates are really supportive and patient, which makes it so much easier for her as she learns each new movement. It’s such a positive environment!

My son and daughter do Jiu jitsu here. The kids program is called Highland Park Friendship Club and it’s well named because the instructors are super friendly and it makes the kids have a fun time, and -shockingly- they’re engaged for the whole class. It’s only been a few weeks but my kids are both already starting to show more confidence and are excited to go back. The head coach for the kids, Claw, is pretty rad.

We absolutely love HPFC. My very shy kid attended camp here with no prior jujitsu or martial arts experience and LOVES the coaches the classes the other kids and now — jujitsu! Coach Will teaches a fun forward age appropriate class that leads to confidence and respect for the sport. We will def be going here for regular classes, so impressed with what they were able to accomplish with a shy kid in a few short days! He was excited every day for camp, truly a magical place.
