About

LA Boxing Gym offers comprehensive training in MMA, boxing, and kickboxing with a coaching staff that includes world-class instructors. World champion boxer Anthony Olascuaga and professional fighters like Adrian Alvarado provide elite-level boxing instruction, while Aymen Foughali brings championship kickboxing credentials. The gym emphasizes small class sizes to ensure personalized attention, and amenities include showers and two hours of free parking. Members consistently praise the quality of coaching, noting that the same trainers who work with champions also teach regular students and kids, creating an environment where everyone can learn authentic fighting techniques.

reviewsWhat Members Say

Members praise the gym for its world-class coaching, with specific mentions of trainers like Lee Garcia and Anthony Olasaruaga who teach both champions and regular students. Many report excellent skill development in boxing and Muay Thai, noting they learn authentic fighting techniques rather than just workouts. However, several reviews criticize the owner for being disrespectful and profit-driven, citing unorganized classes, lack of basic amenities like lockers, and an uncomfortable environment. Concerns about high pricing relative to the experience and inconsistent business practices like outdated hours are also mentioned alongside accusations of review deletion.

Honestly, seeing the comments, back in 2002 I trained at the L.A. Boxing Gym, and I know for a fact they really make champions there. I trained back then alongside Leo Santa Cruz he was just a kid my age, we were both about 16—training with a coach nicknamed Yuka, a great trainer. They definitely build champions there. And just to add, they prepared me for the Central American Games where I represented Belize. I did really well in that event thanks to the L.A. Boxing Gym’s training. Now I’m in Cancun, and we have our own boxing gym here. I’m planning to visit L.A. Boxing Gym this December to see what kind of partnerships we can explore, because they truly make champions.

Best Boxing Gym in all LA. The same Coach and trainers that train the world champions and pros train the kids and every one else . The staff is also great and always helpful. If you want to learn how to Box this is the perfect place no matter what age.

LA Boxing is pretty phenomenal. Most places only focus on giving you a workout. But LA boxing also teaches you how to fight. I’m amazed at how much I’ve learned in 4 short months. Shout out to coach Lee and the Muay Thai trainers for getting me straight.

I wanted to like this gym because the instructors themselves are genuinely good people and great coaches. They even have world champion boxers training here. Unfortunately, the experience is dragged down almost entirely by the owner. The owner comes across as disrespectful, money-driven, and uninterested in creating a positive environment for members. Decisions seem to be made purely for profit rather than for the quality of the gym or the community. For the premium price being charged, the overall experience simply doesn’t match the cost. For example, no amenities. The price tag is there only due to the community which you can get spending far less at other gyms. Until ownership changes their attitude and priorities, this gym isn’t worth the price.

This gym is a complete joke. Classes are unorganized, and it feels like no one here actually cares about the members. For $250 a month, right next to skid row, you’d expect at least basic amenities, but there are no lockers, no structure in the boxing classes, and no sense of professionalism. They also can’t even be bothered to update their hours on the website or Google, especially during holidays. To make things worse, the business owner makes inappropriate comments, creating an uncomfortable environment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. NOTE: THEY DELETED MY REVIEW
