The yard it's a pretty good gym. The warm up is fun but a routine. After, they pair you off either to learn some drills or light sparring. The instructor doesn't worry about pairing you off with the right person and unfortunately some people didn't speak English so we couldn't communicate. The space is great but I feel it is overpriced for what you get. Overall, chill people, clean area and plenty of bags. Careful with the homeless as they're creeping around. Thanks.

Gym is dope. Really connected with some of the other students too. Good cardio warm up and got some fun light sparring in at the end. I came in a little before class to get familiar with the gym and maybe talk to the coach to get a feel for the class flow. He was in a private session and immediately told me I could not be there (which I understand but it just felt very cold). I came back at the start of class. Another student basically directed me through the class until the end where we sparred. The only direction I received from the coach the whole time was not to switch up my stances otherwise Ill have 2 mediocre stances. Thankfully I have some background in Muay Thai so I was able to get through the class but if you're just starting out I have no idea how you'd learn anything here. Most gyms Ive been to are very welcoming and stoked for new people coming in and you really feel a part of something special. Classes are focused with clear directives and if you don't know anything, coaches or experienced students will work with you. This was not that and it was just kind of a let down honestly.

I dont know if I came on a bad day, but I definitely did not get the inviting friendly vibe people talk about. I dont know who my instructor was, I introduced myself but he ignored me. It seemed like any question would ask him before class (it being my first time there ) was irrelevant and annoying to him. I wasn't really sure how the class was supposed to operate and literally received a single sentence of instruction the whole time I was there. My hand position was off and he came over and acted like I was stupid for not knowing. That was it. It wasn't a big class either, he just seemed to not like for me some unknown reason. There where some students he really liked, particularly a girl who he didn't stop coaching the whole class. The facilities where decent, and the gym was big, lots of space and different areas to work out. The students where great, and very helpful as my defacto instructors. I imagine that the instructors are better, but this one in particular seemed very cliquey. He was friendly to most people, but I was not in his clique, and based off my one experience with him, I will not be returning. Also I want to add, I tried to go to two Saturday classes and no one was there. Not sure if the schedule online is off, but I tried, on different days, to call the number on the website and it went straight to voicemail and they are unreachable on instagram.
