About

Westside Boxing Club offers training in both MMA and boxing disciplines under the guidance of the Saucedo family, with Jose Manuel Saucedo as the founder and head trainer alongside Jose Saucedo and Nacho Saucedo, plus trainer Steven Ho. The gym is described as old school in its approach, focusing on challenging members to their maximum potential from beginning to end. Some members report a welcoming atmosphere where non-Hispanic members feel included and part of the gym community.

reviewsWhat Members Say

Members describe the gym as offering an old school, challenging training experience that pushes them to their maximum potential, with some praising the welcoming atmosphere where non-Hispanic members feel included. However, numerous reviewers express frustration with the pricing structure, citing a $250 joining fee without trial options, $100 monthly fees with workout time limits, and lack of day rates. Specific concerns include the gym being rarely open and unresponsive to contact, tiny facilities, and questions about coaches' expertise and physical condition, with some mentioning Jose Saucedo by name. Several reviewers strongly recommend nearby alternatives like Freddie Roach's Wildcard Boxing Gym instead.

I’m Korean and been going here for more than half a year. Have no problem feeling part of the gym and trainers as well as members have absolutely no problem with me being Korean! And I’m not the only non hispanic member. If you want to be challenged to your maximum potential, this is the place. Old school beginning to end.

$250 to join with no way to try the gym. No day rates no trial no nothing. Just sign up and hope for the best I guess

Worst gym by far!! Do not attend. Just search this gym up on tik tok and you’ll see why, went one time and I promise even if they paid me to go, I wouldn’t. If I could give it 0 stars I would and plus, you’d expect the coaches to atleast know what they’re doing or be in shape but…….let Mr Jose be an example, you’ll see for yourself.

The place is NEVER open. I don't know how they stay in business. No one ever responds when you try and contact the place.

Went to check out the gym. Owner tried to charge $100 bucks a month and then tell me there was a 1hr & 20 minute workout time limit. The gym is tiny and I honestly think they want to keep it under a certain cultural denomination... Freddie Roach's Wildcard boxing gym is only 13 minutes away from this one, they only want $5 a day or $50 a month. It's much more welcoming and it makes sense. Plus, it's where Manny Pacquiao and other pros train. Go there instead.
