Update November 2021. The new schedule has gi classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and no gi-MMA classes on Wednesdays. Fridays are less formal and have a open mat format. The updated schedule has an open mat night on Fridays, replacing an adult class. The school and people are welcoming and gracious. It's only my second time here, but they've made me feel welcome and encouraged. All new experiences, but I echo all the previous raters from other sites: Just try it. Oh, and the first lesson is free! Update May 2018: the Friday open mats are now regular classes emphasizing the lessons taught, earlier in the week. Update August 2018: no gi classes are on Thursday mornings and evenings. Update for January 2019: Due to increased popularity, no gi classes will expand to Tuesdays and Thursdays. Gi classes will continue on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Update for September 2019: The school has moved to a larger unit on the first floor of the same mall in unit 102.

First week of taking classes for my 6 year old and he loves it. The instructor is awesome and I highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere and also a great way to tire out your wild kids.

WonBjj is definitely one of the great jiu jitsu schools in LA. I started training here about 2 years ago and can say it’s a great workout and one of the coolest gym communities I’ve ever been apart of. Our professor is a wizard on the mats and we also have some really great purple/brown belts. All in all it’s a super solid gym that fosters growth and learning, definitely worth stopping by to try out the free class at the very least.

As a resident living nearby, I personally witnessed them harassing a delivery driver who had parked in the wrong spot. The dark-haired "kung fu master" arrogantly shooed the delivery driver away. In Eastern culture, those who practice martial arts should be tolerant of the weak, not bully them, so I don't recommend you choose this place.
