Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy

The kids started back in March and we’re super grateful with how much they’ve progressed thanks to all the Coaches. What started as just the kids rolling became a whole family adventure now with mom and dad rolling too. This gym does a great job making you feel like family while pushing everyone to be better in BJJ and as people.

We have enjoyed our experience with Lincoln Jiu Jitsu for the past two years. Our son has learned so much and they have instilled confidence and self esteem with my shy guy. They work hard and raise the bar high for expectations and discipline but are kind and supportive and the students rise to their challenge. We can’t say enough about Lincoln jiu jitsu!

Our family can’t say enough good things about Lincoln Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Our two boys, ages 11 and 8, started training here in August 2024. When they first began, they couldn’t even do a push-up. Fast forward to now, and they’re knocking out over a hundred without blinking and getting ready to compete in their first Jiu-Jitsu World League championship. The progress they’ve made physically is impressive, but even more important is the boost in their self-esteem and confidence. It’s also given them a healthy, productive outlet to burn off energy and work through all the emotions that come with being preteens. My husband joined in February 2025, and it’s been just as meaningful for him. The workouts are challenging, the instruction is top-notch, and the community is incredibly supportive. It’s not just a gym, it’s a place where people lift each other up and push one another to be better. Chuey and Manny, the brothers who own and run the academy, have created a truly welcoming environment. They treat everyone like family, and it shows in every interaction. From day one, we felt like we belonged, and that’s something you don’t find just anywhere. If you’re even slightly considering trying Jiu-Jitsu—whether it’s for your kids, yourself, or both—we highly recommend checking this place out. It’s made a huge difference in our lives, and we think it could do the same for you.

I can't say enough good things about Lincoln Jiu Jitsu Academy. Since it's family ran and coached by the Moreno Brothers, Chuy and Manny, they genuinely bring a family culture to the mats each and every day. It doesn't matter if you're a novice (or haven't even wrapped that white belt across your waist yet), an experienced "colored belt," or a competitor, they welcome you with open arms and have a method of teaching that meets you where you are today and will adapt to your "style" as you yourself discover what that is and will help you grow no matter what your Jiu-Jitsu goals are. Very young or very old, it doesn't matter, the same applies and that matters to me immensely given I'm an older practitioner (likely the oldest one there!) AND I have a young son that trains too. Using my son and I as an example, we have polar opposite styles, abilities, potential and goals and both Chuy and Manny are able to recognize those differences and teach us what and how we can improve. It's truly amazing the amount of knowledge, patience and CARE they have for each and every one of their students. I can't stress the amount of care they have. They pour their heart and soles in what they do because everyone is family. To top it off, not only are they the best at what they do and know, but they're fun to be around too so the environment is never negative or robotic. I have both of my kids enrolled and they love it. I have nothing but praise for the way Mr. Chuy and Mr. Manny instruct them. The kids have both grown in skill and enjoy the fun atmosphere here. I recommend if anyone is undecided on which Jiu Jitsu gym to join that they give Lincoln Jiu Jitsu a chance, they are world class!! Mr. Chuy and Mr. Manny are excellent instructors
