The coaches and the engagement with all the people at precision is simple top notch. Great team engagement and customer service. As a father of both a girl and boy student I could not ask for more.

I’ve been training at Precision Jiu Jitsu Academy on and off for the past 3-4 years, and I saw a review from someone named "Ed Nunez" that couldn’t be further from the truth. They must be talking about a completely different academy! Having trained at various places all over Northern California, I can confidently say that Precision Jiu Jitsu Academy has high-level practitioners and top-notch instructors. If you’re looking to elevate your game, I highly recommend checking out a free class. You’ll be welcomed with open arms, and the sportsmanship and sense of family here are unmatched. If you train jiu-jitsu, you’ll know what I mean by egos and working with a partner who’s just trying to prove themselves. I can confidently say that 99% of the people here are not like that. Everyone at Precision is all about bettering each other and growing as a team! I continue to train here because I know I’m improving every time I step on the mat. The owners and members bring such positive energy—it’s truly refreshing after a long day. If you’re serious about growing in jiu-jitsu, this is the place to be! I felt the need to write this review because both of the owners were out of town when that review was written, teaching a seminar in Puerto Rico. So, I know firsthand how inaccurate that feedback is.

The gym is top tier. The instruction is excellent, placing great emphasis on attention to detail. The athletes at this gym are world class and yet there’s always space for newcomers. The fundamentals classes in particular are a great way for novices and veterans alike to hone in on the pillars of jiu jitsu.

If you’re looking for quality training and coaches who genuinely care about your progress, this is not the place. The head coach only seems invested when it’s convenient for him, showing little to no support for students who compete. His priority is money, not mentorship. When I asked others why they train here, the most common answer was that it’s simply convenient—not because of the instruction or atmosphere. That says a lot. Additionally, the environment isn’t the most welcoming. Some instructors appear more focused on themselves than the students, creating an overall unprofessional vibe. If you’re serious about improving in jiu-jitsu and want coaches who actually care, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
