Great place to train! Very knowledgeable instructors and welcoming environment. The marathon roll on Saturday always have a lot of people to get rounds in with.

Refuge is a veteran-owned jiu jitsu academy that is family-oriented, welcoming, and disciplined. You are able to walk into the institution with all your questions, and they are especially kind to new students wanting to start a new martial art but is intimidated. You are greeted with respect and if you don’t know much about the uniform systems yet, you are provided with one. I highly recommend Refuge especially if you are looking to incorporate BJJ into your life. It works for everyone, both kids and adults because their schedule is plenty— morning, afternoon, evening, and if you can only commit to twice per your week or as much as you can in a month. It’s a great investment for happiness and discipline while growing old and trying to find purpose spending time wisely whether it’s practicing BJJ for self-defense or for competitive purposes.

This gym is legit very nice, super clean, and the teaching was on point. Just stopped by for a drop in and I was treated well. Love the name and what their gym represents.

Refuge has been an amazing experience. The instructors have been top notch. Everyone is incredibly kind and helpful. I've been attending for almost 2 years and I just started my daughter. Highly recommend.
