We first chose 99 Jiu jitsu because of its proximity to our house, but I am so glad we chose them. I had all three of my children enrolled in classes there. Coaches Jason, Saki, Celine and Professor Mike were phenomenal instructors balancing discipline, technique, and fun with the kids. I could not have asked for a better organization to put my kids in. This gym has such a welcoming attitude toward anyone who wants to learn on the mats. It truly was a family and we were sad to leave due to our military PCS. I cannot recommend them enough.

Just got done with our first class with these guys. took my little 4-year-old in there Ellie. we've done countless things with our little girl multiple dance classes, gymnastics, soccer etc. And this is by far the best thing we've done so far. our little girl is usually shy around male coaches but Jason was phenomenal. made her feel comfortable right off the bat. seems like this will give her the structure, she needs with a good balance of fun And exercise. The parents are involved too, so it makes it a lot of fun. everyone in the class was super nice also . I can't recommend this place enough. Note if you read my history of reviews, I don't leave a review unless I'm super super happy or freaking livid.

99 Jiu Jitsu gym is such a welcoming place with a great community of fun, kind and passionate about BJJ people. I've been training there for a year and a half and I immediately felt accepted and encouraged to try new things even though I was a little rusty after not training for a while. Also I really like how family friendly this place is with Jason, Saki, Mike, and Celine teaching kids how to work hard and be supporting teammates.

We’ve always wanted to try to Jitsu, but haven’t had the time with our busy schedule. We were able to do a free class and enjoyed the calmness and the instruction that they gave my seven-year-old. We’ve gone a few times now and enjoying the time spent on the mat look forward to what the next few months will bring… strength, discipline and fun

Sad to be leaving San Diego and 99 Jiu Jitsu. I've been to a few different gyms all over, from Tokyo to Virginia and a couple here in California. Professor Telles and the crew made me feel like a part of the family and taught me so much. Everyone here is super patient with new comers and super talented if you want a good roll. 10/10 would recommend and will be returning if I get stationed in SD again. Gonna miss you guys.
