I think everyone should try this place.Maru is incredible. Dave is incredible .the teachers are great. The concept of aikido, its principles- I deeply believe in. Its subtle its powerful and its fun for the kids. They learn so much about themselves while having fun and learning invaluable skills. This is a gem of a business and we are lucky to be able to be a part of it.

First I enrolled my daughter. A few weeks later I started. I waited awhile to post this to bring an accurate review. Yes, I recommend this dojo. Goldberg Sensei is well respected among his peers, and for good reason. This is one of the few dojos that teaches the wooden staff. Technically proficient teachers isn't even the best part. This is a very supportive kind group of people. No suprise that the kid's classes are full. Sensei is a dad who likes kids and loves passing the positive values of Aikido onto the next generation. Come visit. Anyone at any stage of life can practice Aikido!

We are HUGE fans of this dojo. My 12yo son joined the teens class less than a year ago and absolutely loves it. The community is very welcoming and warm. I especially appreciate that the senseis teach in a supportive and kind way, which allows the kids to learn while having fun. Thank you, Aikido of San Diego!

Dave is fantastic. My youngest is thriving in the kids class and the oldest in the teen/adult class. I would describe the style as very positive, non-aggressive and grounding. Enrolling my daughter as soon as she is old enough.
