For an authentic tradional Japanese/Okinawan martial arts dojo, this is the place to go. Real classic martial arts training for all ages. Kids will learn karate along with proper protocol, etiquette, courtesy, and Japanese culture. Adults, know that other dojo owners from around the world come to train here. Franco Sanguinetti Sensei also travels to other dojo around the world to teach. Chrisan Robinson Sensei will make you and your family feel welcome. For experienced martial artists, even if you dont have experience in traditional Okinawana karate or kobudo, I highly encourage you to come train here. I train and teach an Americanized karate. Training in Okinawan Matayoshi Kobudo at Bushikan dojo has changed my view and understanding of everything I practice and teach.

Sensei Sanguinetti has an amazing traditional dojo that has respect, honor, and education as its foundation. The adults and and children that practice with him become family and achieve things well beyond their years. As a member of his organization from out of state when I visit for training and meet the local students I watch in amazement the humble, respectful and well trained youths and adults he has. The 'family' concept is true here. This is an amazing place and amazing people. If you have never tried it out, you will not be disappointed as beginner or experienced martial artist you will love his energy and humility and benefit from his 50+ years of experience.

Our son has been at Bushikan Karate Dojo the past year and it has been such a positive experience for him! Sensai Chrisan and Sensai Franco teach the kids so much more than karate and in such supportive, thoughtful and fun ways. We’ve seen great growth in his confidence, behavior, and attitude. Bushikan has created a wonderful community we are thankful to be a part of.

You will find no better dojo than this for traditional training in karate and kobudo. Sanguinetti Sensei is the most knowledgeable person in all aspects of Okinawan training, culture, language, and philosophy I have ever met outside of Okinawa. He puts his heart and soul into the traditional martial arts, and his students benefit from this.

If you are searching for a traditional, family-friendly dojo for karate and kobudo, search no further. Sanguinetti Sensei instructs both Goju-Ryu karate and Matayoshi Kobudo for both children and adults of all ages. The close family spirit of this dojo is amazing and will encourage the most timid beginner to blossom and develop new skills and confidence. The dojo has a beautiful wooden floor and plenty of training space for all. I have been training since 2018 and love the spirit and instruction. James Augur
