My kid really enjoys taking the boxing class. It helps to reduce stress levels and release all that kid energy. The group size is decent. Kids can go 5x/week if they want. Great monthly price. You can buy certain gear there if necessary. They have a chiller filled with water or Gatorade for $1/ea if you forget to bring your own. There's a couple of sofas and a long wooden bench along the windows for seating. Parking is tight but there's usually spots on the residential streets. There's a liquor store, coffee shop, pizza joint, local grocery store, and some other small shops across the street if you need sustenance before, during, or after training. While the class may have a fun game of Simon Says, the kids come to work hard and push themselves. The coaches enjoy what they do and the kids pick up on that.

The Staff are amazing like no where else. Willing to help build you up and make you family. Understand name of the House ...of boxing, it's like home. The new mural by Ground-floor murals is insane and iconic. The front paint job with pinstriping is classy. You have got to go check this place out for yourself. Ask for Coach Carlos, you'll love him. This is a top tier boxing gym. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I've been coming to the gym here and there... but I am never disappointed. Lots of bag work and partner drills. You are going to learn something new and applicable you can use real world each time! I highly recommend this gym and any of the coaches. They have been in the game for a long time and are happy to help anyone in their boxing journey.

In response to the Anon Review, yes the group classes tend to be large, and that does limit the 1:1 time you might receive from an instructor. But that is the nature of a group class--which is primarily an exercise class. If a student is looking for more personalized 1:1 attention, there are private lessons offered and those can be tailored to what you are looking for. And yes, the classes may seem to become routine. But that's how most of the fighting arts are taught: repetition, repetition, repetition. There's really so many punching combinations you can throw in boxing. The trick is throwing that jab, or that straight right, or that hook with perfection--or as close as you can get to perfection. Really, the best way you can learn after building up your reflexes and endurance, and picking up technique from watching the other more experienced boxers--and instruction from the trainers--is to spar. And sparring is available to students whom the instructors feel are ready. And they ease you into it--they work with you to help you learn more. The trainers here, Carlos, Sr.; Carlos, David and others, are a library of boxing experience and knowledge. I try to soak up as much as I can every time I go!
