Words cannot express how happy I am I found this community. The instructors here are beyond kind and helpful, my first day I was out of shape and got light headed quickly, they helped me get back to it and encouraged me to keep going through. That was 4 weeks ago and every class I’ve been feeling great. BJJ is hard but feels so incredibly rewarding when you’re learning and have fantastic instructors guiding you along the way. Give them a try it’s definitely worth it!

Started off my daughter first then I had to try it for myself! The gym is clean and efficient. Professor Bruno, coach Johnny, Coach Rafael, Coach Angel, Lika and trainer Rafael have been nothing but accommodating and welcoming to me and my daughter. I’m 5 classes in and all the upper belts have been very helpful. It can be intimidating at first, but just like starting anything new, you just have to jump in and go for it. I’m excited for this new challenge and journey into the world of BJJ and I couldn’t have been more happier with these group of people!

This is one the of best BJJ academies that I have ever visited. It is truly world class. There is a wonderful family environment, it is not a fight club. Professor Bruno is a decorated competitor from great BJJ lineage.

My 11-year-old son has been training at SocaBJJ for a few years now, and we honestly can't say enough good things about the place. The whole experience has been incredibly positive and rewarding. The best part about SocaBJJ is definitely the vibe and the coaching staff. The coaches are super positive, patient, and just all-around great mentors. They've built such a supportive and fun environment on the mats. The instructors strike the right balance--it's a nurturing space where kids feel safe learning the ropes, but it's also really challenging at the exact same time. The coaches know exactly how to push them out of their comfort zones without ever making it overwhelming. If you're looking for a great training center with an amazing community, definitely check out SocaBJJ. We absolutely love it here!

We stopped by Soca BJJ to try a trial class for our three-year-old daughter, and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how welcoming, friendly, and family-oriented the environment was. Our daughter absolutely loved her first class—so much so that we signed her up immediately after it ended! What really stood out to us was how great the instructors were with the kids. The atmosphere was incredibly positive, and it was clear that this was more than just a gym—it felt like a community. The experience was so great that my husband signed up the following week, and I joined the week after that! As someone who’s 5 feet tall, completely new to Jiu Jitsu, and naturally nervous about starting something so unfamiliar, I can’t overstate how supported I’ve felt. The instructors, owners (Bruno and Lika), and members have all been so encouraging and kind, making the transition into training so much smoother than I imagined. A special shoutout to Sam, one of the members, who has become my BJJ idol—seriously, I worship the ground she walks on! Her presence and encouragement were a huge reason I felt confident enough to join and continue showing up every week. I also started taking private lessons to help with the basics, and Coach Raphael has been phenomenal. I’ve only had one session so far, but I already feel confident that his instruction will help me grow in both skill and confidence. If you’re looking for a place that feels like family, with instructors who genuinely care and a community that lifts you up—Soca BJJ is it.
