The coaches and team leaders are amazing! Kind, attentive, and genuinely care about every student. I love that my child gets to work with kids of all ages; his confidence has grown so much in such a safe and supportive space. They help kids build social-emotional skills, confidence, discipline, resilience, and beyond both in and out of class. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

This is the best martial arts place I can imagine! The coaches’ lovely teaching makes work out such a fun experience for kids. What I love the most is the teaching here goes beyond physical training. It covers all the essential aspects of being an honest, upright, and responsible person with self-control. Highly recommend Swiftkick to any family who wants to give their kids a solid and healthy foundation physically and mentally.

My daughter and son have been doing classes for over 6 years. I really enjoy partnering with the coaches to challenge and encourage them. I’m really thankful for all the Swiftkick staff for making time to check on their progress. It’s not just self defense but also discipline in all areas of their lives.

I've been going to SwiftfKick in Rancho Bernardo for a little over a year--after not having done any martial arts since high school (20+ years ago!)-- and I love it so much. Everyone is so welcoming, which is a good baseline. But how much the instructors care about their students blows my mind (I've been going to pilates for 3 years and I don't know if those instructors would even notice if I never came back). As a 40yo woman, I was a little worried that it would be too macho, or geared towards younger adults, or ask me to do things that would throw my back out (I tried kickboxing once and the music was too loud, my back went out, and I felt ancient). I didn't need to worry at all. If I need to go at my own pace, I can, and there is no shame. Just a ton of support, excellent instruction, and genuinely good humans (students and staff). I love this group so much I asked them to host a punching clinic at my baby shower! Yes, I'm 8 months pregnant and still going to class! It's a great workout, it's so fun, and I'm trying to get all of my friends to come too. I also really appreciate the practical aspect: I am genuinely learning effective self-defense that applies to real-world situations. My favorite part though: I always leave class feeling better about myself, about the world, about life, than when I came in.

I enrolled my son at SwiftKick a couple of years ago and quickly saw improvements in his self-confidence and discipline, so I joined a few weeks later and am on a journey I never anticipated starting in my 40’s. Master Brian Cowell, the owner, has developed an exceptional martial arts program for kids and adults of all ages that merges the psychological with the physical. Coach Chandler, Coach Mike, and the other SwiftKick coaches have helped me and my son develop and improve our boxing, kicking, and grappling skills, all in an environment that balances fun and hard work. Whether you are just starting on your martial arts journey or have trained for years, SwiftKick Martial Arts is a great next step. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
