My son has been attending the clases at White Dragon for about a year now, and we’ve had a wonderful experience. The instructors are patient, professional, and truly great with the kids. They create a positive and respectful environment where children learn discipline, confidence, and focus while also having fun and staying active. The instructors are friendly and highly skilled. I like how their schedule is convenient for students. They have private lessons for each student so that each one can learn at their own pace. My daughter is always excited to attend sessions. I can see improvement not only with her confidence, but also with her social skills. She’s very determined to get rid of her awkwardness, and White Dragon, Clairemont is helping her achieve that.

My son loves White Dragon Martial arts. They are amazing with kids of all ages and skill level. I have no complaints at all. My son is 6 and loves going to the kick boxing classes and his private lessons with Mr. Donato. He has worked with many instructors there and he has loved working with all of them. It is a friendly and welcoming environment.

Beginning instruction at White Dragon Martial Arts Clairemont in 2021 has been one of my family’s greatest decisions. As a parent looking for quality martial arts training for both myself and my children, I was thrilled to find that White Dragon offers classes for adults and children alike. I was drawn to their dedication to traditional Kung Fu with a direct lineage tracing back to Choy Li Fut and Yang Family Tai Chi—a rare find among other studios today. Also, Tai Sifu Ben Stanley has carefully preserved the original philosophy of kung fu while emphasizing practical self-defense, making it both an art form and genuinely applicable to everyday life. The breadth of training is impressive: basic self-defense, grappling, kickboxing, weapons training, lion dance and Tai Chi—truly addressing mind, body, and spirit. What sets White Dragon apart is the quality of instruction and the supportive community. The studio is clean and equipment well-maintained. Membership includes weekly private instruction, which has been essential for advancing and addressing my individual needs. Chief Instructor Mr. Gomez has been exceptional, and my kids have thrived under their instructors as well, who masterfully balance fun with challenge and genuine learning. The culture here is special. From Tai Sifu, Sifu Estrada, and all the instructors down through the student body, everyone is supportive and hardworking. I’ve felt valued, respected, and constantly encouraged to push harder—especially when I might otherwise have given up. Through kung fu, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for the beginner’s mindset and learned that meaningful progress takes time. Great experience here at White Dragon. All the staff are very welcoming, qualified, and professional. This was my daughter’s first experience with martial arts and we were very pleased overall. Sifu Stanley, Sifu Estrada, and especially Mr. Gomez were excellent instructors and create such a wonderful learning environment. White Dragon has a great culture and instruction model, starting where their clients are at, and raising them up onto the next level. My daughter will be back to work her way through the program next year, and my sons are already practicing their kung fu at home. Thank you, White Dragon!
