I was doing some research to try and find a place to do some training and after trial and error with several other places. I have to say I’m glad I came across BAFA. They offer a wide range of classes at an affordable cost. When I first signed up, my first class was free which was great bc you get an idea of how the class is vs some other places where they want you to sign a contract for a number of weeks or months…I had a really good experience on the trial class and Coach Rob is heavily involved with students and trying to bring out the best in them. One of the things I like most is that he goes over to every student and trains with them to make sure they’re comfortable in their training even though it’s a group setting vs just showing you and having you figure it out on your own. The class environment is really friendly and at first I was a bit nervous, but after being there and seeing others help you out makes it a very good space for you to be comfortable. Overall I would reccomend this place to everyone due to their practices.. 5 starts all the way.

Joining Bay Area Fight Academy has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. When I first walked in, I was extremely out of shape, but the coaches helped me find my second wind. In just six months, I lost about 35 pounds of fat and got into the best shape of my life. The instructors here are not only highly knowledgeable, but also welcoming and supportive. They’ll sharpen your martial arts skills while pushing you to be your best without ever making you feel out of place. BAFA is more than just a gym it’s a community. Everyone is respectful, friendly, and pushing each other to be better. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to show up every day, to the point where missing a class feels weird.

I've been going here for a little.over a year and a half, and I am now confident enough to make a review of this gym. The owner, Eric is very kind and patient with the beginners so feel free to stop by for a free first class lesson. Depending on who's teaching the class, the intensity will vary. I attend their kick boxing followed by Muay Thai class during the weekdays from 7-8 and 8-9 on M, W, F and they never fail to give me a nice workout. I prefer this over the standard gym because everyone there is very personable and helpful when it comes to learning. There are always classes being held regardless of the day, so there is never really any down time in this gym. If you're looking for a more personal touch, then the private trainers Rob and Sean( I believe is how you spell his name) is there for your undivided attention. I train with Rob on off days and he works me out very good. The first couple of weeks I came out sore, but as he taught me how to lift and position my body while performing various exercises, I became knowledgeable enough to safely perform them on my own. I've been with Rob for over 4 months and I feel a drastic increase in my performance. Have been here for 1.5 yr and will continue on attending classes as well as the personal training👍💪🥊
