reviewsWhat Members Say

Members praise the knowledgeable, patient instructors who create a supportive environment that helps children build confidence, discipline, and self-control. Parents repeatedly mention their children's enthusiasm for attending classes three to four times weekly and appreciate the clean facility, well-maintained equipment, and community-focused atmosphere. Several reviews specifically highlight how instructors connect with every student regardless of age or experience level, making classes fun while teaching valuable defensive skills. One review raises serious concerns about summer camp operations, citing a CDSS citation for unlicensed child care and alleging unsupervised children and undisclosed video viewing during camp hours.

This is truly an amazing place for kids to learn and grow. What makes the instructors top-tier – knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly inspiring. They take the time to connect with every student, regardless of age or experience level, and bring out the best in everyone. The classes are fun, challenging, and always motivating. It’s only been about three months, yet my 7-year-old has already learned so much. He’s actually excited to go — we attend three sessions a week — and for a child I usually have to ask multiple times to do something, it’s incredible to see how eager and motivated he is. As a parent, it’s such a joy not having to persuade him one bit! The coaches make each class enjoyable while still teaching discipline, respect, and confidence. I can truly see how much my kid loves being there and how much he is growing both on and off the mat. The environment is positive, supportive, and family-oriented. Overall, a fantastic place that helps kids build confidence, character, and a genuine love for learning — all while having a great time!

Highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a supportive and challenging martial arts experience! My son has been training at the Infinite Martial Arts since 2022. It helped him develop discipline, confidence, and self-control. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive. They create a positive environment that makes kids feel motivated to push themselves and improve. The studio has a welcoming small community vibe and regularly hosts fun gatherings that allow kids to connect with their fellow students outside of class.

I scarcely write reviews because...who has time? But, as a parent, I felt compelled to share this little gem. My daughter (8) looks forward to going to class every time. She attends classes 3 times a week (option to attend up to 4). There are usually two instructor per class with purple belt or higher level, and each class has anywhere from 4 -13 students. They are all very patient, attentive, and intentional in their instructions, and make the classes fun while promoting their core values of respect, discipline, and focus. They encourage positive reinforcement and feedback. The space is well-maintained, the mats are clean and equipments in great condition. Classes typically start with warm up exercises (running, stretching), skills demonstration, followed by teamwork, then sparring. I especially appreciate that when they work on the middle splits, each student counts to ten in their chosen language. The last few minutes of class is dedicated to a game by popular vote. At the end of class, one or two students are given a star patch for the best demonstration the core values. There is a strong sense of community here. As a parent, I most look forward to watching the students master valuable defensive skills, build camaraderie over time, all the while gaining confidence and positive self-image.

UPDATE: California Department of Social Services (CDSS), and the agency has substantiated the complaint and cited Infinite Martial Arts (2830 Baker St., San Francisco) for operating unlicensed child care. The CDSS determination, dated October 16 2025, confirms “unlicensed care is being provided.” Manager James Hidalgo also confirmed to me by email and phone that children watched videos every day and full-length movies on Fridays—facts never disclosed to parents. I personally observed staff leaving preschoolers unsupervised while both employees were on their phones. Parents who paid for this “summer camp” expecting legitimate martial-arts instruction should review the public CDSS citation and consider filing for refunds or small-claims actions. CDSS complaint #05-CC-20250905155513 is a matter of public record. Dangerous and Dishonest – Do NOT Send Your Child Here I am a lawyer and a parent, and I will stand by every word of this. Infinite Martial Arts Summer Camp is unsafe and a disgrace. James, the manager, confirmed to me by email and on the phone that children watch videos every day for at least 30 minutes, and a 90+ minute movie every Friday for summer camp. When I arrived for pickup, the children were unsupervised while both staff stared at their phones. James was not even present that day — yet took two days to respond and then accused me of lying about what I saw with my own eyes and he wasn't there. This place is negligent, dishonest, and unfit to care for children.
