Great environment for learning and development. Ray gives great pointers and fosters a culture with good training partners. I dropped in for a BJJ class only (which you should probably email about ahead of time). The gym is really easy to reach via transit.

If you’re looking for a welcoming atmosphere for new students, teachers who are respectful of how you pursue the art, an incredible sense of community, and a supportive atmosphere, you’ve found it. Ray and his students take a personal interest in your learning and your journey, plus he is a truly kind caring person. This school is the real deal and I’m honored to be a member of this gym.

Training here is therapeutic for me. I originally came here as a way to stay in shape but love how much I’m learning and how my body composition has changed. I was intimidated at first because I am 42 years old and had no previous experience with jiu jitsu but everyone has been so kind and helpful teaching me various techniques. I can’t say enough about the amazing culture here, highly recommend!

Simply put, the quality of instruction paired with the sense of camaraderie and family make Maru Dojo an excellent place for learning. Having studied at a few places, I can say with certainty - Sensei Ray fosters a safe space which allows for no distractions to high quality learning. I'm so happy to discover Maru Dojo, love this place.
