I have three kids training at MBJJ, and it has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for them. It’s hard to find an activity that works for different ages and personalities, but Professor Pedro is amazing with all of them. It’s not just about fighting or self-defense; the focus on discipline, respect, and confidence is huge. The 'no-ego' culture that people talk about is real—even the older kids help the younger ones. As a parent, I appreciate that the facility (on Woodside Rd) is clean and the environment feels safe. If you want your kids to burn energy while learning real life skills that set them up for life, I highly recommend checking this place out.

I can’t say enough good things about this gym! From day one, the community has been so welcoming and supportive. There are classes every single day (often multiple per day), which makes it easy to stay consistent no matter your schedule. As a white belt, I’ve really appreciated the beginners classes — they focus on fundamentals and make sure you build a solid base before moving into more advanced techniques. Professor Pedro deserves special mention — he sets the tone for the whole gym. He’s approachable, patient, and genuinely cares about helping each student grow. After I injured my leg in class, he actually sat down with me one-on-one to show safer ways to roll and protect my knees — that kind of care and attention is rare. Also, Coach Jordan is amazing on Tuesdays and Sundays — his teaching style is clear, detail-oriented, and super engaging. Every class feels like I walk away with something concrete to improve. Overall, this gym has everything — world-class instruction, tons of training opportunities, and a community that feels like family. Highly recommend! 💪🥋 Ossssss

We can’t say enough great things about MBJJ! Our son, Alex, has always been a wonderful kid, but training here has really helped him grow even more. He’s learned so much about discipline, patience, and emotional control in a fun and supportive environment. The coaches are incredibly patient and really care about the kids. We’ve seen Alex become stronger, more confident, and his behavior at school has been outstanding. His teacher even praised him for his focus and good behavior. We highly recommend this place to any parent looking for a place where their child can thrive.

Professor Pedro and the whole coaching staff are incredible with the kids. They run a great program that is effective while also fun. I love that my kids are having a good time on the mat while also learning some great life lessons and real life defensive techniques. The facilities are super clean and nice, and the energy of the community is great. Highly recommended for the whole family.

My experience at MBJJ has been truly amazing. Coach Pedro Minc is not only an incredible instructor but also a genuinely great person. The passion and knowledge he brings to every class really shows, and it makes learning such a rewarding experience. From the moment I started, everyone has been welcoming, supportive, and willing to help me grow. It’s made the whole journey feel personal and motivating. I’d recommend MBJJ to anyone who’s even a little curious.j Just take the leap and try it. You’ll get a great workout and be part of a great community.
