Shockness Shotokan Karate-Do

Buyer beware. The instructor Wayne Shockness exploits people for money and curses and abuses people for personal expenses and favors that have absolutely nothing to do with Karate while already charging $250 a month for very unprofessional classes. Many classes have a lot of fooling around and personal and irrelevant conversations. The instructor teaches mostly by sitting down and giving instructions rather than being on the mat and showing people how to block and strike. A long time ago, Shockness was a normal Karate teacher from personally knowing him, but that is NOT the case from November 2024-April 2025 during my second round training with him. There are instructors in the Karate world today who are doing well largely because of his mentorship, but he has become very unprofessional, morally corrupt and very untrustworthy. His cursing, toxic, extremely immature, lying, and filthy speech completely contradict fundamental teachings of Japanese martial arts.
