I love Denver Shaolin! I have always been interested in learning Tai Chi and I found the perfect place. The instructors are great and even the more experienced practicioners are always willing to help. I feel I get individualized help. Tai Chi is not easy for me and really takes concentration but the mind-body connection is so important to those of us of a certain age. I feel that I am making progress but it is at my own pace! I feel very supported.

I searched long and hard for a studio teaching traditional Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi. The Denver institute fits the bill perfectly, with wonderful instruction by Sifu John and Sifu Christopher as well as a supportive and welcoming group of students.

This is a great institute to learn and train at. I signed up for Tai Chi. Being 74 yrs old, i was worried due to my age if I would fit in. To my surprise, this has been an unique and great experience for me. It doesn't matter what your age is. They dedicate their time and effort to each student. One on one environment. Sifu John and Sifu cris, are fantastic teachers. Always there to answer your questions and to help you succeed in your goals. I am amazed at how much my health has improved since I started the class. After coming off a total shoulder replacement surgery, I was sure i would never be able to get the mobility back in my arm. Due to this class I would say I am at 98% mobility. Big increase from 75% when I first started. My balance has improved considerably as well as my cognitive ability. I dedicate all my improvements to Tai Chi and the skilled Trainers, Sifu John and Sifu Cris. You learn the moves and the forms and there is always help if you accidently forget a move. The atmosphere is a great place to learn. I never thought i could ever succeed as far as I have. But these are people who believe in you, and that makes all the difference in the world in achieving your goal. I recommend Denver Shaolin Kung Fu Institute to all ages to come and learn the arts, improve your fitness and wellbeing. Its a great place to be at

I've been attending Denver Shaolin Kung Fu & Tai Chi for the past six months, focusing primarily on Tai Chi. Both Sifu Chris and Sifu John have been excellent instructors. As a man over 50, I've found the practice somewhat challenging, but their patience, knowledge, and experience have made this journey very rewarding.

Great experience! I joined about two months ago to gain all the benefits of Tai Chi. I have gotten more flexibility, strength, balance, and then some. For example, my blood pressure is back to a normal range and my posture is better. Sifu John and Sifu Chris are both incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Their “teacher assistants” (advanced students) are also superb. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants Tai chi with martial Arts foundations - that is, a little more structured and a lot more instructive than a fitness or wellness center chain.
