My son has been training at Denwa Kan since he was 6 years old. It is a wonderful dojo with excellent instructors who care about their students. Sensei Kurabane is an exceptionally talented Wado Karate master. I highly recommend this dojo. It is very affordable, and my son is learning Karate from the best!

If you want to learn Karate in a genuinely traditional way, this is the place. Sensei Kurobane is incredibly experienced, perceptive, and truly cares that all his students are continuing to improve and learn.

I'm 69 years old and I've been practicing Japanese karate, off and on, since I was 25. Fitness for skiing, focus and exploring Japanese culture led me to Wado Ryu in SLC. I have been with Denwakan Karate since 1985. Sensei Kurobane and the dojo community are a pillar for me! I appreciate the wholistic, traditional workout as I age. Shihan Kurobane is a wise and dedicated teacher.

I live in Arvada and my family commutes to this dojo in Lakewood because it is a great place for traditional karate. Sensei Kurobane has been teaching for over 50 years and has improved my technique tremendously over the past 12 years.
