I travel for work a bit so I reached out to see if I could train here while I was in the area. The team was amazingly welcoming. The instructors are wonderful, they teach a very technical game and take time to go around and watch everyone in motion. There is a good mix of skill levels among the students and the upper belts always seem eager to roll with and teach the lower belts. Overall, this is a great BJJ place, would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to train BJJ in the area!

I was in town visiting family, so I reached out to Rio Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Ryan replied back and said I’m very welcome to come by and train for free and they had a gi for me! The gym is very clean and beautiful! I trained at the noon class 2 days in a row. I was welcomed by everyone. I received some great technical instruction and got some good rolls in. Can’t wait to come back again!

I've had my son involved with this school for about 16 months. In the beginning, my 13 year old son and I went to 5 different schools in the area, including Rio, searching for the right one. We sat in on classes, met instructors and were introduced to students. After a week of searching, we ended up back at Rio. There is a strong sense of family, professionalism, kindness, but most importantly......respect for the Jui Jitsu way of life. Professor Duda, Professor Fernando and Professor Bret run a fun but respectful school. Their attention to detail and patience, whether your 6 or 16, is apparent and so appreciated. There are always at least 2 instructors present during class. Sometimes they pull in Coach Fred or Coach Ryan. They encourage higher belts to mentor lower belts when needed. There is always time to wrestle or "roll" , in every class. Plenty of stretching first, then carefully detailed instruction, class practice, then wrestle time. Ive been in business a long time and I can clearly see the care, consideration and respect that is given to all the students, their families and to Jui Jitsu. The best thing ever is to see my 14 year old find passion in a martial art and absolutely love it!! Thank you for encouraging, caring for and preparing my son! Cheers! Zipp
