I walked into Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a year ago with zero martial arts experience, and it’s easily one of the best decisions I’ve made. The training is top-notch, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every class pushes me to improve while still being a blast. I also started Muay Thai with Coach Wade, and it’s been an awesome challenge learning both striking and grappling under such skilled coaches. I was so impressed with the gym that I got my two sons into it, and they’ve been hooked ever since. It’s amazing to see their confidence and skills grow, thanks to Jesse and the incredible coaching staff. Another huge plus? Plenty of class options throughout the week, making it easy to fit training into a busy schedule. Whether you’re looking to learn self-defense, get in shape, or just have fun while pushing yourself, Taps BJJ is the place to be. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Taps Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The instructors are outstanding; knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in everyone’s growth, regardless of experience level. The atmosphere is welcoming, professional, and consistently high quality. I have trained at multiple gyms and have been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai for several years. I am also a defensive tactics instructor for my department, so I am very intentional about where and how I train. What truly sets Taps apart is Jesse, the owner, and his ability to tailor instruction not only to sport Jiu-Jitsu, but also to real-world self-defense. Beyond traditional BJJ, Jesse offers specific classes through EFC (Effective Fitness Combatives) that focus on realistic scenarios, combining striking and grappling in a way that directly applies to real-world encounters and law enforcement needs. The training is practical, thoughtful, and directly transferable. It’s rare to find a gym that balances high-level sport training with realistic self-defense so effectively. Taps BJJ does exactly that, and at an exceptionally high standard. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, from hobbyists to competitors to professionals who need training that truly works.

Great instructor who breaks down techniques and explains the 'why' behind them. Welcomes beginners and visiting students.
