reviewsWhat Members Say

Members consistently praise the gym's family-friendly atmosphere and supportive instructors who challenge students to be their best. Parents report significant improvements in children's discipline, confidence, and social skills, while adult beginners feel welcomed and receive excellent instruction. Specific compliments highlight Master Ron and his staff's responsiveness, attention to detail, and ability to make training fun while maintaining respect. One negative review mentioned an uncomfortable interaction involving a service dog and perceived inappropriate behavior from an instructor, though this appears to be an isolated incident among overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Our daughter has been at American Martial Arts Institute for 3 years now. Once a week for 30 minutes has made a real difference — listening skills, discipline, kindness, confidence/self-worth, and being comfortable in a group setting. The instructors are respectful and expect respect back, and they make it fun. Highly recommend.

10/10 experience with the American Martial Arts Institute! Not only did my son attend a few years ago but recently I had a Ninja Kidz birthday party and received TOP NOTCH service from Master Ron in his wonderful staff. From beginning to end everyone was responsive, attentive, detail oriented, helpful and welcoming. I am an avid party planner and have probably planned dozens of parties. The party that I had at AMAI takes the cake of my most favorite party and I know quite a few parents that attended my son's party will follow my lead! Do yourself a favor and book your child's birthday party! I was blown away by the supreme customer service and memorable experience!

My current schedule has become incompatible with working with my Sifu in New Jersey and I decided I needed to look for something closer to home. I walked into this school with my service dog to ask a few questions. Instead of the instructor being man enough to tell me he does not have the right program for me, he instead decided to use his Tai chi to to a few parlor tricks to mess with my crown chakra, I am presuming to prevoke a fight. Then a student came into the school and touched my service dog without my permission. I politely told him not to touch her; he told me "it's fine," and tried to touch her again. That is not an teacher. That is a coward and a bully. Not worth my time as a student or to fight. All he showed me is that the had nothing to teach me.
