I joined the club as an university student and I found Sensei Velazquez to be a great instructor who maintains a great program. He has decades of wide experiences and is ready to share his knowledge and passion with all his students. He emphasizes discipline, focus, and integrity, as well as self-defense and fitness. You will learn as much about judo's philosophy as you will the art. As an adult, I learned a lot from his program, and I feel it will be especially beneficial for children. You will definitely get your money's worth from his classes. He also does a month by month payment plan that's very flexible, unlike the (predatory) long term contracts offered by other martial arts gyms.
