I was at Frank Family Karate for 1 and 1/2 years, only leaving because I moved for college. It is a fantastic school filled with many student opportunities for physical health, mental health, and leadership. The school focuses on physical strength and endurance through intense workouts that create power behind all techniques. Working yourself out physically also helps the student mentally, as they are able to push themselves beyond their limits and achieve personal fitness goals. A word of the month is taught in order to help the students understand the qualities of a good leader, including SWAT opportunities for student helpers and later student instructors. Martial arts requires both good strength and mindset in order to pass the well organized black belt test. The wise leadership by the Frank Family creates a healthy environment for students to grow from beginners to experts.

It’s great karate with moral understanding and dedication of hardwork teaching. Teachers and staff is very supportive. Recommend to parents and kids to join in this class.

My son started the after school program this year and we absolutely love it. The program encompasses not just learning karate but teaches the kids how to be self disciplined and focused in all aspects of life including at school and at home. It encourages physical activity, reading, chores, helping others and overall great manners and discipline for kids. They learn so much. The Franks are wonderful family oriented people that care about the kids, parents and community.

Our son started with Frank’s Family Karate when he was in second grade. With each belt that he earned, our son learned about respect, responsibility, discipline, and perseverance. This program is so much more than just exercise and martial arts - each student is challenged to do their best, and then do better. Our son is now 16 and continues to travel 30 minutes twice a week not only to take class but now helps the younger students as a Swat Team Member and as a counselor during the summer camp. The Franks have been an integral part of our son’s development and have taught him values that he will carry through his life and hopefully pass on to his kids someday. They are not just a karate studio, but they have become family.

My son has been attending Frank Family Karate since 2017 when he was an uncoordinated 4-year-old. He is currently a 9-year-old second degree black belt and I cannot say enough positive things about this school. The instructors always work to ensure that students reach their potential, even when it is difficult. My son attends an after school program that picks him up from his school and brings him to karate and I just have to pick him up when it's over. My son used to be one of the slowest out of his peers and he had a lot of difficulty with self-discipline, motivation, and attention. Now, when I compare him to other boys his age during other sports, he is one of the fastest and one of the strongest. His focus and motivation have improved and he has set goals for himself and has worked very hard to achieve them. If in doubt, definitely try them out; they are also extremely affordable!
