My daughter began BJJ last summer. Professor John, Coach Terah and the rest of the academy have quickly become family. Not only has my daughter improved in her BJJ skills, she has made incredible friends. We are proud to be members!

Hit up Ravensguard for an open mat, super welcoming and some high level jiu jitsu. Our team drove 2 hours for the open mat, time well spent. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend folks check them out!

Ravensguard is an amazing academy with superior instruction and attention to details in the arts. I highly recommend checking out the gym and seeing for yourself by trying a class. Everyone is very welcoming, and Professor John is excellent at explaining in many different ways for different types of learners. His instruction is very patient and exact, and you can tell he has a huge passion for the arts and skill. The team is like a family. Even if you are shy, you will likely find someone to strike up a conversation or a smile or laugh with. And as for the members and owners, the communication and respect are solid. They really care about the academy and each person's individual goals. We encourage and support each other.

My time at Ravensguard BJJ has been exceptional. Professor John George is very technical and mindful of all the variables that come into play when training the art. He makes it a point to ensure every student gets individual attention and will frequently give the opportunity to train/roll directly with him so he knows first hand where your strengths and weakness's are to help him give better instruction or advice based on the individual. Even in the physically demanding and often brutal enviornment that BJJ exists in; Professor John, the coaches, and the teammates make Ravensguard a comfortable place to feel at home while pushing eachother to be the best we can be. For anyone looking for an outstanding experience; Ravensguard BJJ should not be overlooked. We hope to see you on the mats!
