I'm a purple belt who took a 5-year break from training, and getting back into BJJ at 305 Grappling has been incredible. Finding the right gym to restart was important. I wanted somewhere with quality instruction and a positive and supportive training environment. Since October of last year, I’ve lost 20 lbs, improved my BJJ, and met some truly excellent people. Professor Marcelo Meleiro's instruction is top-notch. He has the type of experience and technical knowledge that's genuinely difficult to come by. What really makes 305 Grappling special is the atmosphere. The people are positive, friendly, and everyone is there to help each other get better. I really appreciate the good, hard training with mutual respect. Training here has been great for my mental, social, and physical health. The combination of intense physical exercise, problem-solving on the mats, and being part of a supportive community improves your overall quality of life. The gym itself is well-maintained with good mat space and everything you need for quality training. If you're looking for a BJJ gym in the area, whether you're brand new or experienced, I highly recommend 305 Grappling. The combination of world-class instruction and a genuinely great training culture is rare.

When you join 305 grappling you don’t just get to learn jiujitsu, you join a family on these mats. The culture that Coach Marcelo has created here really makes anyone feel welcome to train. As a woman I can say the transition to training with this group has been excellent. The caliber of knowledge that Coach Marcelo brings to the table is not something you can find easily. I’ve been training with him for 3 years now and can say he truly wants to see everyone on the mats succeed physically and mentally. Would 100% recommend this gym!!!

I had a excellent experience training at 305. The best BJJ school in Midtown. Great squad with many different levels. Coach Marcelo is super welcoming and very attentive to those details that make your game better. Either if you are ready to compete or you are just doing it for fun, this is a great place to train and make friends.

If you’re looking for a place to shed your ego learn beyond the moves taught on the mat, this is that place. I can’t recommend 305 grappling enough to everyone of all ages who are looking not just to train BJJ but train the mind, the body, and be in community with people who want to do the same. Trying new things could be very intimidating especially as a woman in a contact sport but the environment at 305 is encouraging, warm, without losing emphasis on THE WORK! The principals of working hard is drilled and embraced here and as a woman learning and loving this sport that’s more than I could ask for!
