I’ve been training at this academy for over two years, and I can honestly say it’s the best jiu jitsu academy. From the very beginning, it has truly felt like home. The environment is welcoming, respectful, and supportive. As a woman, I have always felt safe, comfortable, and encouraged to grow on and off the mats. Gama Filho is an outstanding jiu-jitsu gym. I started here as a white belt and immediately felt welcomed by both the coaches and the team. Over time, everyone there truly became like a second family. The environment is safe, supportive, and respectful, while still maintaining an extremely high level of training. It’s a great place to grow, learn, and develop real jiu-jitsu from the ground up.

I trained here during a summer when I was living in Miami. I compared several gyms in the area and am so happy I went with Gama Filho. The vibe is super friendly, relaxed banter, solid technique and intense rounds. The gym is super clean and overall just a positive environment. I know if I ever visit I’ll be welcomed as if I never left. Things to note, no showers, also not cheap, but worth the price if you are passionate about Jiu Jitsu.

I have been blessed to be able to train at gama filho I’ve been training for 4 years now and will never forget the first day I walked in. I started here day 1 to purple currently and I can tell you this place has changed my life in so many ways, its more than a jui jitsu school it is my home, the techniques are world class, the environment is a family, and professor Henrique is God sent. Clear instructions perfect English, Max who works in the gym as well is amazing with the kids, also a great teacher and makes you feel so welcome.
