My son and I switched from a more traditional Jiu Jitsu school to GGT almost 4 months ago. For the Adult Program, Head Instructors Carlmichael and Keanoush both bring athlete-centered teaching methods that foster both individual growth and problem solving. I've made more tangible progress in just four months than I've made in the past couple of years. As a regular competitor, I can confidently say that the tools my coaches have provided have made a noticeable difference in my performance and confidence. Coach Grey is fantastic with the kids program. She understands that kids get distracted easily and has an amazing ability to keep things fun and engaging while still maintaining structure. Even when the kids are laughing and having fun, she’s consistently fostering real skill development. The kids are always excited to train, and their progress really shows.

This was my second day attending class at Ground Game Theory Jiu Jitsu and my first impressions continue to be great. As soon as I walked in, both the students and instructors immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome. The mats were very clean, which says a lot about the professionalism of the gym. I really enjoy the scenario-style approach to teaching jiu jitsu. Tonight’s coach, CarlMicheal, was extremely knowledgeable and demonstrated excellent techniques. He was very engaging with the students, took time to answer questions, and was respectful, professional, and helpful throughout the class. If you’re in the Miami area, I definitely recommend checking out Ground Game Theory Jiu Jitsu. You won’t regret it.🤙

Ground Game Theory was kind enough to host a BJJ Gypsy event this past weekend, which was great! The mats are top-notch and the environment even better. I really enjoyed the unconventional approach to teaching concepts. This is a female-friendly gym; as a somewhat beginner, I didn't feel intimidated joining the MMA class I was invited to, as the environment was very open and welcoming. If you're new and thinking of trying BJJ or MMA classes, this is a great place to train. Welcoming but also high-level!

After trying out multiple gyms across Miami, Ground Game Theory was the obvious choice. The training is high level, the mats are top notch (Fuji with proper subflooring), and the culture strikes the perfect balance between learning, performing at a high level, and actually enjoying the process. Carlmichael and Keanoush are excellent coaches who structure training based on the latest sports science. Since joining, my progression has noticeably accelerated— surely I'll be getting my purple belt any day now... Anywho, highly recommend dropping in for a class or checking out the Friday/Saturday open mats, which consistently draw serious grapplers from all over South Florida.
