Members frequently praise Jonesy (also called Mr. Jones or Jonsey) for his exceptional customer service, helpfulness with billing, and welcoming demeanor that enhances the gym experience. Many appreciate the new equipment, ongoing renovations, and amenities like the sauna, steam room, and pool. Common concerns include crowded conditions during peak hours with limited parking, inconsistent staff responsiveness, and billing or contract issues stemming from the transition from 24 Hour Fitness. Some reviews mention isolated incidents of poor management behavior and frustration over staff insisting on scanning memberships multiple times, though positive interactions with specific employees often balance these drawbacks.

I wanted to leave a huge shout-out for Mr. Jones, the gentleman at the front counter. He was incredibly professional and helpful in handling the cancellation of our two memberships as we prepare to move out of state. It’s rare to have such a smooth, hassle-free experience with gym transitions. Because of the excellent service he provided, I will definitely be looking for a Crunch Fitness in our new city! Highly recommend this location.

Jonesy was super helpful in helping me with some billing issues and tracking down some payment issues that happened during the 24Hour Fitness to Crunch Fitness conversion. Super friendly workers. Great location with a lot of new gym equipment. Currently getting renovated with even more equipment. Has a sauna, steam room, HIIT area, and pool.

EDIT #2: Hannah has been extremely nice and awesome!! Hospitality on point! EDIT: Jonesy spoke to me in regard to this review and apologized for my experience. Bumped to 3 stars instead of 2 due to kindness. I’ve been going here for about a month or so now and I can definitely say it is not the same as 24 Hour Fitness. There is more equipment which is a plus but the staff is not the same anymore. Jonesy is the only staff member that still greets people politely. Also, the amount of people that go has increased drastically so parking can be a bit tedious. One time, there was no soap in the men’s bathroom so I told one of the workers and the guy just stared at me like he didn’t have to do anything. Went to change clothes in the restroom after my workout session and there was still NO soap. Sometimes, I try to buy a protein shake after my workout which can result in an issue because I track the days I go to the gym within the app. The problem is that some workers keep insisting that I scan my membership again so it messes up my tracking since it makes it seem like I’ve gone twice. Some of the staff just asks for my phone number when I tell them that which I respect because it doesn’t affect my in app tracking. Small complaint but just adds to the frustration of circling the parking lot, waiting for machines to be available, and a dull staff. Heck, when they switched over, I was charged $96 TWICE and was signed up for the most expensive plan without any confirmation. Crunch operates more like a business that supplies a gym. I never dealt with any of this at 24 as everyone was so helpful. Now, Crunch has staff insisting that you post about how great they are in reviews and on Facebook instead of earning positive reviews naturally. Be kind to your gym-goers and I promise that will go a long way. I know there are tons of people so it’s impossible to greet everyone but refusing to acknowledge anyone is an odd choice. Pros: More equipment Cons: Packed beyond belief, not enough parking during peak hours, careless staff, no cycling room

Today, I had to call the police on an employee who refused to identify himself as management until the police questioned him. I have never felt more unwelcome and unsafe at a gym than I did today. This incident began when I asked a friendly Crunch employee to look into why my BOGO deal, which I purchased through 24 Hour Fitness, was not showing up in their system. I had previously called 24 Hour Fitness, and they informed me that Crunch WOULD HONOR the deal because they now own those contracts. The employee discovered that my original contract from 24 Hour Fitness was in their system, indicating it ends in December 2026. However, the Crunch account, which Crunch management created without my permission or awareness, was dated for December 2025. He reached out to another person who did not introduce himself as a manager and didn’t speak to me directly, but I overheard him tell the employee that this Crunch location would not honor the BOGO deal because they would lose too much money. They created new accounts for everyone and placed us on a monthly plan after the contract ends, which seems unethical and bad business practice. I don’t work for Crunch, so I don’t understand how this was allowed. I simply requested not to be auto-drafted on the 1st. After working out, I decided to take a picture of the person who provided this information so I could report it to corporate, as it felt inappropriate. This man then asked if I had taken a picture of him, and I confirmed that I did. I asked him to cancel my account effective December 1st. He then claimed he couldn’t talk to me or help me unless I deleted his picture, stating that I wasn’t allowed to take pictures of employees—a blatant lie, as the police officer and other employees later confirmed there are no rules at Crunch prohibiting customers from taking pictures of employees. At this point, the man became hostile. While another employee was helping me cancel my account, this man hovered over them and began copying my information into his personal phone. Feeling nervous for my safety, I asked him to delete my information. He refused and walked away without revealing who he was or why he had taken my information. I decided to call the police because an adult man should not take a customer’s information without permission and then refuse to communicate because he can't control his emotions or is unaware of his company's policy regarding photographs. I highly doubt corporate will respond to resolve this issue, as it has been difficult to communicate with their customer service since the takeover. Everything about how they are handling this situation is wrong. Even the police officer told him they should honor the contract, but the supposed manager claimed that this Crunch location is a franchise and therefore not obligated to honor it—something that only corporate locations are responsible for. I will not trust Crunch with my information or recommend them to anyone. Their business tactics make customers feel unsafe, manipulate data to increase profits, and take information without consent. Thank you Orange County Police for the quick response. I was told if anyone calls or show up at my house unannounced to call them back. The guy in the middle is the “manager” I would be wary of at this gym location. Not a very good guy.
